Moyes on West Ham interest: I’m staying at Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad manager David Moyes has struggled in his first year with the Basque club but the Scotsman is not about to leave the club as the former Manchester United and Everton dismissed rumours over a possible summer move to take over at West Ham, insisting that his work and his plans remain in San Sebastian.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s match against relegation-battling Levante, Moyes admitted that his side has struggled against lower level sides and are still trying to find consistency.

Near the end of the presser, in light of his comments that the team has not found that consistency with the 52-year-old in charge and his recent comments that he will one day return to the Premier League, Moyes was asked about rumours linking him as the favourite for the job at West Ham United and if he will be cutting short his contract with the Basque side a year early, to which Moyes categorically denied.

“Can I 100% guarantee that I’ll stay with the club? Yes.

“I think that there will always be people looking for these things, but as I’ve said before, my work and my plans are to stay here and that’s not changed, I’ve always said the same.”

Do you know what? I really don't think that would be that far fetched.

I've heard a strong whisper for the Harry Redknapp & Mark Warburton dream team.

All hangs on how much dough Warburton kneads to rebuild the team

I'd rather keep BFS than have McLaren.

Sick of the endless, pointless speculation and discussion. Can't wait for the end of the season, so they can quickly get whatever they are going to do sorted. It's making me hate football.

And how does anyone know he hasn't been told he will get another contract with us? As depressing as that thought is

But I thought according to Allardyce lovers/defenders/apologists, there would be no shortage of clubs demanding his dubious services. After all the humiliations heaped on his large head in recent months, you would think the man would have fixed himself up with another club by now.

Hopefully a statement to that effect will be issued soon by his agent. Then there will be no need for an end of season review. Just let his contract run down. Tattie bye Samuel.

Yanto - don't worry, none of them will be candidates. I doubt they'd mind Hughes or possibly Pardew (neither of which you'd expect to leave their Clubs soon), but not any of the others.

I've seen so much wishful opinion on here in the last 6 months, its ridiculous. Get it into your skulls. Allardyce is staying like it or not

Benitez, Moyes and then Billic are the top three. All are improvements.

FCJ - that's an awful list in all honesty. The only one anywhere near good enough is Moyes. If those really are the candidates, then Allardyce will get a new deal

We need a big name. For me neither Moyes, who I see as another Curbishley, and Howe, unproven at the top level, fit the bill. If you believe the hype around the new stadium the owners need to aim very high if they hope to achieve anything. I agree it's time for Sam to go. Now we need a high profile name with credentials at managerial level to steer the club and help attract the sort of players we are going to need if we hope to compete at another level.
Leave it any later than the end of this season and it will be too late.

They must know by now if they are going to keep him on or not

If it's a no, we should just put him on gardening/fish head eating leave. That way any potential suitors will at least know the job is up for frabs and won't have to feign dis interest

We are very likely to have a British manager.

Candidates could include Moyes, McLeish, Lambert, Hughton, Pulis, Pardew, Bruce or Hughes. I would say Redknapp too but I don't think they are stupid enough to do that.

Our board do not have any great history of signing foreign managers and particularly ones with no background in English football. The Avram Grant disaster will be too fresh in the memory.

This is one of the reasons Allardyce has survived. There is a lack of Managers who fit their profile and who are relatively successful.

Don't know why? I could have a guess if you want?

Re: Klopp, Howe now Moyes turn West Ham down
In regards to Bilic you can only hope that it's just respect for his current title bid that is keeping things on hold.
My biggest fear is that we have a re-run of last season with nothing decided at season end , the pow-wow & then the white smoke goes up and Sullivan emerges to tell us there are no other managers in the world. Anywhere
